Privacy Policy

1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to Hermes Personal Assistant, a private productivity application operated for its owner's personal use. Privacy enquiries can be sent to assistant.claudiob@gmail.com.
2. Google user data accessed
When authorized, the application may access Gmail message metadata and content, mailbox labels, and message state. It may create drafts, modify labels, and send email when requested or permitted by the owner.
3. Purpose of use
Google user data is used only to monitor the authorized mailbox for new messages, display relevant email information to the owner, search and organize messages, prepare replies, and perform owner-authorized email actions.
4. Data sharing and advertising
Google user data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, used to build advertising profiles, or shared with data brokers. Data is disclosed only when required by law or when technically necessary to provide an action explicitly requested by the owner.
5. Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored on the owner's private system with access restricted to the application account. Email content is processed only as needed for the requested workflow. Credentials are never placed in public source repositories or client-side web pages.
6. Retention and deletion
The mailbox remains stored by Google under the owner's Google account. The application may retain minimal identifiers and operational state needed to avoid duplicate notifications. The owner may request deletion of locally retained data at any time by contacting the address above.
7. Revoking access
The owner can revoke Google access at any time from Google Account permissions. Local OAuth credentials and cached operational data can then be deleted from the private system.
8. Limited Use
The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the application's functionality or requested Google permissions change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
